CURRENT EXHIBITION

Annual Student Art Show April 9-26

The student art exhibition features 150 works by students from the following high schools: Bismarck High, Century High, Legacy, Mandan High, Shiloh High School and South Central.  Entries are juried by the school’s art instructors and the number of entries is determined by the number of art students in each school.

This year’s exhibit is being sponsored by the family of Dale Twingley. They are generously giving a $500 scholarship to one student.  Ben Twingley will be the jurist and selecting that recipient and, in addition, BAGA’s annual jurist and honorable mention awards.  An artists reception will be held on April 9th from 5 - 6:30 pm with awards being presented at 5:30 pm.

Annual Square Foot Exhibit    April 30-May 24

Reception April 30, 5-7 pm

This exhibit will feature over 70 artists from throughout the country. Each art piece must utilize a 12” x 12” canvas and be original in nature. There is always a variety in subject matter and medium used, which makes for a very interesting exhibition.

Member Artist is Sandy Cofell: Sandy paints with acrylics on canvas or hard board. Her subjects include travel scenes, birds and animals. These exhibits are being sponsored by Paige Pederson and in part by ND Council on the Arts and the Tom & Frances Leach Foundation.
