"Exploring the West" with Bro Halff
    July 6 - 24, 2021

Halff's watercolors depict, with radiant colors and bold composition, rural, urban, and small-town America.  A number of his works have won awards at juried exhibits, and have been shown throughout the country, at over 230 exhibits since 1985.  A catalogue of this exhibition is available when visiting the gallery or by clicking here.

 

Two books of his poetry, prose sketches, and watercolors, North Dakota Days and North Dakota Travels, were published in 2020. 

Member Artist is Carol Fielhaber from Minot.  Carol is inspired by and continues to study the era, lives and works of the first artists of impressionism, expressionism, cubism and abstract expressionism movements.

The opening reception will be held on Tuesday, July 6th from 5 - 7 p.m.  Free and open to the public.

   10th Annual Square Foot Show

                    August 3 - 27, 2021
Artists from throughout the United States will exhibit their work on a 12" x 12" canvas.  Over 90 artists are participating in this event and the mediums and subject matter vary greatly!

Each artwork sells for $150.00 and are sold on a first come-first serve basis.  The work becomes available beginning with the 5 p.m. opening reception on August 3rd.

47th Annual Capital A'Fair

Join us August 7 & 8 on the ND State Capitol Mall for this annual outdoor art & craft fair.    Over 90 food and artisan booths will be participating this year, along with demonstrations held by the Dakota Woodturners, Capital Quilters, ND Spinners, Mid-State Porcelain Art Guild, and Flickertail Woodcarvers.

Hours are Saturday 10 am - 6 pm

                 Sunday 10 am - 4 pm

Basic Drawing for the Beginners

There is still room in the next class with Nicole Gagner.  Get a good grasp on the basics of pencil drawing.  This class covers the basics of line, proportion, shading and differences in drawing from a photo or real life.  Class will be held July 29th from 1-4 p.m.  $40 class fee includes your supplies.  Call 223-5986 to register!
