    Rob Anderson "Relationships" & Member Artist Roxanne Rost Erickson

          November 7 - December 2

   Rob is a retired arts education from Minot.  He is primarily a printmaker who enjoys creating monoprint or montypes using ink and acrylic paint on a variety of papers.  In addition to his exhibit, Rob will also be teaching a beginners class on printmaking with a gel plate on Dec. 2nd.  The class is currently full, but if you are interested in being placed on the waiting list please call the office.

      The member artist will be Roxanne Rost Erickson.  Her exhibit will feature over 20 artworks, mainly watercolors and in a variety of subject matter.

The December Members Show will be a themed exhibit this year - "The Artistry of Trees".  This exhibit is open to all BAGA member artists with no entry fee.  Our visual artists are asked to use as inspiration one of tthree selected poems.  The poems can be viewed by clicking here

Printmaking with a Gel Plate - Rob Anderson

December 2 Class is Full 

December 16      Fee:  $45                  10 am - 1:00 pm

In this 3-hour workshop participants create several monoprints and/or monotypes with a gel plate.  Participants are encouraged to take both a planned and spontaneous approach while using a variety of materials and equipment.  For more information on this class click here.      

Beginning Felting with Lynae Hanson

Tuesday, January 23: 5:30 – 8 pm     
Fee: $25 (felting kit & supplies included)

Lynae Hanson will lead students through a 2-hour dry wool felting session to create a small felted creature. We’ll cover tools, materials and techniques before getting started on our project. Class fees will cover all materials and each student will take home their own felting kit. If we don’t finish our creatures in 2 hours, we’ll schedule another session or students can finish on their own, at home.

Lynae is the Executive Director of Bismarck Art & Galleries Association and has been an artist, exploring different techniques and mediums, her whole life. She taught herself felting techniques by reading books, watching videos and practicing.

Attention Quilters! 

BAGA is partnering with Capital Quilters to present an Art Quilt exhibit August 9-30, 2024.  A list of requirements and the entry form will be available on our website and through Capital Quilters soon.  This exhibit will be a juried exhibit open to all quilters and may include quilted bags, garments, dolls and other artistic items.
